Bishop Kwashi added that the delegation was also at the Government House to solicit for the support of government towards successfully hosting the gathering which would bring together participants from within Nigeria and beyond.

Kwashi, while emphasizing the need for the State Government to build on the legacies of Christian missionaries who brought the gospel and founded schools, hospitals, social welfare and empowerment programmes, appealed to the Government to consider immortalizing illustrious sons of Plateau State who served the State and Nigeria with zeal. This, the cleric opined, was necessary for the younger generation to know the great strides of the personalities and also learn from them.

Governor Simon Lalong expressed gratitude for the visit and acknowledged the support and solidarity the Anglican Church has been showing the government through prayers for the peace, progress and development of the State.
