ECWA Women Fellowship Dedicates Hilux Van

A 2020 model Hilux van has been dedicated for the work of mission by the ECWA Women Fellowship International.

In a brief ceremony at the ECWA Headquarters, Jos, the ECWA President, Rev. Dr. Stephen Panya Baba, said that because missions had no boundaries, it was time for members and church agencies to devise ways of taking the gospel to lost souls.

He thanked the women for working as a team to purchase the van charged them to use it for the purpose it was meant for and ensure that the entire church is carried along.

The Director, ECWA Christian Education Department, Rev. Ishaku Yaro, appreciated God for having a visionary women leadership which has supported its leader, Mrs. Miriam Philips, in achieving a lot within a very short time.

He disclosed that, under the present leadership, women have been spurred to understand the ECWA vision and mission and made a lot of progress despite the present economic hardships.

He added that the department would continue to support them to do better in all their programs and activities and challenged other agencies to emulate them by raising funds to support missions.

In a brief remark, leader of the women fellowship, Mrs. Miriam Philips, said that they acquired the vehicle due to the tasking nature of the work and the need to go round all DCCs in the country and beyond.

She explained that the vehicle would ease their movement in and around the country for missions and evangelism and expressed gratitude that God had continued to prove to the fellowship that He is in charge of every situation, saying that she would continue to put in her best to move the fellowship to God’s desired glory. She called on women at home and abroad to continue supporting them as they join hands with the Christian Education Department to improve the ECWA women fellowship’s goals and objectives in line with ECWA’s statement of faith.
