The ECWA Executive has commissioned a multi-million naira shopping mall constructed by ECWA Productions Limited (EPL).
The dedication of the multi-purpose structure, located at the centre of Bauchi, the Bauchi State capital, was held at the premises of the Challenge Bookshop, Bauchi, and attracted dignitaries from within and outside the state.
Speaking at the occasion, ECWA Productions Limited Board Chairman, Dr. John Michael Abdul, thanked God management’s strive to transform the organization through internally generated funds and expressed confidence that EPL would achieve even more in future.

He disclosed that management embarked on the project because Bauchi needed ECWA’s developmental projects, adding that the Board was working towards reviving all Challenge bookshops in the country so that Christians could once again easily access Bibles and other Christian literature. The Board chairman stated that he believed God would provide the funds for the turn-around of the company because it is aimed at glorifying His name and called on those present to continue praying for the success of the organisation. He disclosed that, despite the negative effects COVID-19 has had on the economy, such as inflation and recession, the company was still able to record some measure of progress. Speaking on behalf of the ECWA Executive, the General Secretary, Rev. Yunusa Sabo Nmadu, commended the EPL board and management for their ability to build the shopping mall, despite the harsh economic situation in the country. He added that the edifice would not only generate income for the company but also bring glory to God for what the Lord is doing in ECWA and its organizations.

While noting that beauty is part of spirituality because God loves beauty, he gave kudos to EPL for bringing out spirituality in the edifice and urged the company to continue the good work for the glory of God and humanity. In a goodwill message, the Chairman, Bauchi DCC, Rev. Dauda Kameni, thanked EPL for siting the shopping mall in his DCC which, he said, was long overdue. He disclosed that the DCC was now beginning to feel ECWA’s presence and called on its leadership to consider bringing more developmental projects to the state and the zone as a whole. The Managing Director, ECWA Productions Limited, Dr. Sabastine Abu, thanked the ECWA executive for supporting EPL towards making the construction of the shopping mall possible and pledged to continue working towards accomplishing even more. He revealed that the company was planning to develop its landed property in all the states of the federation without having to borrow for that purpose – which was why it was tagged ‘Faith Project’.
