Use Easter to pray for Plateau, ECWA President Urges Nigerians
ECWA President, Rev Dr Job Ayuba Bagat has called on Nigerians especially Christians to use the Easter celebration to pray for Plateau State and other parts of the country so that God will “wipe away our tears and heal our land.”
In a message to mark the Easter celebration, the cleric said, “Believers are facing persecution, and there’s insecurity here and there, but I pray that even in the course of this Easter celebration, there will be Hope and Vision. I strongly believe that tomorrow will be greater than today in Jesus’ name.”
The cleric whose message centred on the significance of Easter as a “moment of sober reflection,” added that it is also a “Christian feast commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ” and it is a moment of sober reflection and celebration.
“A lot of people asked the question, why do Christians celebrate Easter?
“Easter is a period/season Christians celebrate the dead and resurrection of Jesus Christ, it a moment of celebrating victory over dead.”
While urging pastors to always preach love and peace in order to bring oneness among members, the cleric called on Christians to use the Easter celebration to pray for Plateau State and other parts of the country, that “God will wipe away our tears and heal our land in Jesus’ name.”
