ECWA Inaugurates new Boards for its Companies and Departments

The Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA has constituted new Board members for its companies, departments and institutions of learning with a call for the appointees to prove themselves to be “workmen that need not to be ashamed.”
Inaugurating the board members of the various ECWA outfits at the ECWA Headquarters in Jos, Plateau State, the ECWA President Rev. Dr. Job Bagat, charged the members to see their appointment as a “great honour and a great responsibility.
The cleric said, “It has pleased ECWA to appoint you to these important positions of leadership. The appointment has expressed confidence that you will prove yourselves to be workmen who need not be ashamed. It is both a great honour and a great responsibility to be appointed to supervise the church’s work.

“We trust that you will so faithfully carry out the duties and responsibilities of your offices that the work of the Church may greatly prosper under your administration and supervision.
“I hereby charge you to assume the duties of your office prayerfully, asking God for strength, and giving yourself faithfully to your task. I now install you in your respective offices, in the name of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Earlier while outlining some of the basic responsibilities of the boards, ECWA General Secretary Rev. (Dr) Ayuba Asheshe told the appointees that they have been “carefully chosen to uphold the Church’s mission of spreading the gospel, fostering spiritual growth and serving humanity.”
Rev. Asheshe who described the appointment of the board members as “a divine calling and an opportunity to serve God and His people with diligence and humility,” urged them to be united in the discharge of their duties and reminded them that their strength lies in working together as one body in Christ.

“Every recommendation, decision and action of each Board must reflect the spirit of harmony and the shared goal of advancing God’s kingdom. Let love, understanding and mutual respect guide your deliberations and interactions.
“Your expertise, wisdom and passion for our organisation’s mission will undoubtedly enrich our decision-making processes and propel us toward greater heights.”
On expectations, the ECWA scribe disclosed that the new Boards were expected to provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure the organizations align with their missions, visions and values; review and approve key decisions, ensuring they are in the best interest of the organisation, foster a culture of transparency, accountability and good governance.

Others include ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and facilitating effective communication between the department, unit or company and the ECWA executive and all stakeholders.
While reminding the board members of their duties, Rev. Asheshe said “In discharging your duties, please note that all decisions and actions must be reported to the ECWA Executive for approval before execution. This ensures that our organization maintain its integrity, accountability and transparency.
“As supervisory board members, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our organisation. Your collective expertise will help us navigate challenges. Capitalize on opportunities and fulfil our mission.
“Board chairpersons are reminded of their vital role in ensuring seamless communication between the Boards and the ECWA Executive. This practice ensures transparency, accountability and effective collaboration, all of which are essential for the progress of our shared mission.”
Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Hon. Babadidi Babaji who is the current Chairman of the Gombe State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, thanked God and the ECWA leadership for finding them for the new appointments.

Hon. Babaji who assured of the commitment and readiness to faithfully discharge their responsibilities in the various offices and solicited prayers of the ECWA leadership and all stakeholders to enable the various boards to succeed in their assignments.
The newly inaugurated board of ECWA Productions Limited has Mr. Manzo Philip as Chairman, while Dr Arome M. Okwori is Secretary. Other members include the Managing Director of the company, Mr Joseph I. Marcus, Elder J.O.O Ishola, Mrs Christiana S. Ibrahim, Dr David Anda, Mr Ibrahim M. Maren, Elder Yerima Jatau, Rev. Dr Samuel Kadah and Mr Ralph Madugu as an ex-officio board member.
