Remain Steadfast in your Faith, Mangu Council Chair tells Christians.

The executive chairman of Mangu Local Government Council, Mr. Emmanuel Bala Mwolpun has admonished Christians in the locality to remain steadfast in their faith and not relent in preaching the message of love and peace.

According to a statement issued by Mr Jeremiah Dakahap, Director of Press and Publicity to the Executive Chairman of Mangu Local Government, said the Chairman gave the charge at an event to mark the 2024 Christmas Carol and Nine Lessons and Tree Lighting organised by the Mangu chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Mr  Mwolpun called on the citizens especially believers to be on guard as according to him, the enemy is always seeking to derail believers, hence they must be prepared to counter these efforts.

The event which was attended by important personalities featured the reading of the nine lessons that emphasize the birth of Jesus Christ and His role as the Prince of Peace.

In his remarks at the event, CAN Chairman of Mangu LGA, Rev. Timothy Daluk sued for unity among Christians stressing that a divided church is vulnerable to external threats hence he called on citizens especially Christians to be more united than ever.

Also speaking, the Liason Officer for Mangu South, Hon. Bala Fwangje encouraged Christians to be their brother’s keepers stating that this was a key command from the Bible.

Deputy Chairman, Hon. Nuhu Yakwen, was among the lesson readers when he read the 3rd lesson taken from Isaiah 9:2, 6-7. The high point of the event was the tree lighting ceremony, which was performed by the wife of the executive chairman, Mrs Nanbyen Emmanuel Mwolpun.
