The Christian Rights Agenda (CRA) has called on President Bola Tinubu to institute an independent probe to ascertain the remote and immediate circumstances that led to the death of the Kaduna-based renowned Christian cleric, Rev. David Ayuba Azzaman of Kings Worship Chapel and Ministries over the weekend.

In a statement signed by its Secretary General Rev. Kallamu M. A. Dikwa, the advocacy group said, “The Christian Rights Agenda, CRA, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to institute an independent investigation into the remote and immediate circumstances that led to the death of renowned Christian cleric, Reverend David Ayuba Azzaman of Kings Worship Chapel and Ministries Kaduna at the weekend.”

The CRA in its statement added “Field report from CRA sources at the scene of the purported road accident leaves a lot to be desired.

“Steel photographs of his Peugeot 406 car, which is all over the internet showed a major impact on the passenger side of the vehicle. It therefore beat common sense that the driver will die instantly as reported.”

CRA stated that an independent investigation would put to rest every doubt and suspicion created by reports of the fatal car crash.

While commiserating with the Church and the Christian community in Nigeria and across the world over the death of the deceased, the group described him as “our beloved cleric and defender of the faith.”

“Reverend Azzaman was a worthy soldier of the cross who dedicated his life and time to the service of God and advancement of His kingdom.

“He was fearless, and courageous and defended the Christian faith in the North and Nigeria at large.

“Even though news of his death came to us as a rude shock, our resolve to continue to propagate and defend the message of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, is unshakeable.”

While admonishing Christians particularly evangelists, preachers and pastors not to be discouraged by the transition to glory of Reverend Azzaman, CRA urged them not to be discourage but continue the work of the cross as according to the group, “he has finished his race and a crown of glory awaits him.”

It however reminded those rejoicing over his departure as seen across the social media that “we are comforted that he has completed his assignment on this planet and that every mortal shall taste of death.”

Reverend David Ayuba Azzaman until his death on Saturday 25, May 2025 in a purported autocrash on his way back from Makurdi to Kaduna after a crusade was a vocal cleric and a defender of the Christian faith.
