Plateau Deputy Governor Calls for Increased Prayers for Governor Mutfwang’s Administration

Christians in Plateau State have been urged to intensify their prayers for the success of Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration.
This call was made by Plateau State Deputy Governor Ngo Josephine Piyo during the dedication of the children of Hon. and Mrs. Dan Kwada and the family of Mr. Friday Kwada in Jos.
The Deputy Governor expressed concern over the current security challenges facing the state and urged residents to support the government in overcoming these issues through prayer.
She emphasized that the governor has good intentions for the state and mentioned that measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of all citizens.
“We want to thank the people of Plateau for their support for this administration so far. We need your prayers for Plateau to succeed; there are negative plans against the state, and your prayers will make a significant difference,” she stated.
“The governor has the best interests of the state at heart, respects the people, and is doing everything possible to promote peace and security.”
In a sermon titled “I Know the Plans I Have for You,” ECWA General Secretary Rev. Ayuba Asheshe encouraged the congregation to focus on God’s plans for their lives rather than viewing others as enemies.
Drawing lessons from Jeremiah 29:13, he reminded Christians that God has a unique plan for each individual and reassured them that, when the time is right, God’s plans will be revealed in a way that “the world will stand still for you.”
He added, “No matter the situation you are currently facing, it is only for a moment.”
Speaking on behalf of the family, Hon. Dan Kwada explained that the dedication ceremony was held in conjunction with a thanksgiving service to express gratitude to God for the family’s endurance since their father’s passing 32 years ago.
He also noted that the event was an opportunity to thank God for their mother’s successful retirement from public service.
Hon. Kwada praised Governor Mutfwang for his developmental efforts in the state, describing him as a unifying and effective leader whose achievements are evident to all.
Among those who attended the church service were the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, the Chairmen of Jos North and Jos East Local Government Areas, former and current members of the State and National Assembly.
Other dignitaries included the Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arc. Sam Jatau; Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ephraim Usman; and Dr. Jim Pam Wayas, Chairman of the Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, along with other notable personalities.
The dedication and thanksgiving service took place at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Bishara 1, Adebayo Street, Jos, and featured special song ministrations from Solomon Damulak, the church choir, and various fellowship groups.
