The Bible in Gamai language is due for public presentation on October 26 2024.
This was disclosed by the Gamai Bible and Literacy Committee at the palace of the Long Gamai when they visited the paramount ruler, HRH Miskoom Martins Mudu’utrie Shaldas III recently.
During the visit led by Nda Noetsen Kevin Kwaplong, the Committee while briefing the traditional ruler on the level of preparedness informed the the Long Gamai that the committee has scheduled the public launch for October 26, 2024, in Shendam.
Receiving the committee members, the royal father applauded them and all those who put in efforts towards the actualization of the project.
He stated that the translation of the Holy Bible into the Gamai native language would go a long way in ensuring the participation of many Gamai in the proclamation of God’s word adding that it would uplift, encourage and enhance the speaking of the language by more people.
The Long Gamai who described the success of the translation project as a “good job” applauded the committee for their selfless efforts towards the work.
The committee members also paid a similar visit to the Catholic Bishop of Shendam Diocese, Bishop Philip Davou Dung where they held discussions towards ensuring the success of the event.
The Committee used the visits to call on all Gamai sons and daughters to embrace the project by coming out in their numbers to support the historic event come October 26, 2024.
