The 5th Evangelical Church Winning All International Pastors conference has ended with the church advocating a stronger collaboration between it, Government and security agencies to ensure a robust and rapid response for the protection of human lives and property.

In a communique jointly signed by the ECWA President Rev. Dr.  Stephen Panya Baba and the General Secretary, Rev. Dr. Yunusa Sabo Nmadu, the Church urges security agencies to improve in their response to distress calls, increased intelligence gathering and take proactive measures to nip in the bud imminent attacks on citizens.

The Church restated its commitment and resolve to sustain its existing doctrinal and Spiritual teachings of the gospel in a bid to refute false teachings and combat erroneous social media as well as liberal messages through sound biblical word of God using methods of bible studies and group discipleship.

The leaders equally challenged Pastors in the fold to consistently evaluate their values and beliefs with a view to focusing on their heavenly investment by patiently redirecting lost souls into the waiting saving arms of Jesus.

The conference lamented the increasing reckless looting and re-looting of public funds at the detriment of dilapidated infrastructural basic amenities and called for a conscious effort to fight corruption stressing that the church remains the only hope of a transformed nation.

It also advocated the need for the promotion of entrepreneurship by the government, Church and other religious bodies as well as the business community to tackle the increasing rate of youth unemployment and promote advancement in skills for the future generation.

The International Pastors conference with theme “Christ in You, the Hope of Glory” taken from Colossians 1: 27, had over six thousand Pastors in attendance from its 89 District Church Councils from across Nigeria.

The event is held every four years primarily for the purpose of accessing the spiritual growth of ECWA and stimulating the principle of team work amongst the pastors.

This year’s conference featured spiritual awakening messages and innovative methods of evangelism, bible study methods capable of injecting fresh transformational ideas. There was also medical outreach where over nine hundred pastors received medical attention including minor surgeries.
