The leadership of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA has tasked all its Churches to set up ‘situation prayer rooms’ for revival in ECWA.
ECWA President, Rev. (Dr) Stephen Baba Panya stated this while declaring open the 68th General Church Council meeting of the church holding at the International Conference Center, ECWA headquarters Jos.
The cleric said revival has become key to a glorious ECWA, which according to him, revival is only possible through God’s grace and power hence the church would not rest until revival finally takes place.
He announced that a situation room had already been commissioned at the ECWA headquarters and is being utilized by staff and others.
Rev. (Dr) Panya, added that the church is alive than ever before and assured that the leadership would not relent in ensuring that members brightens the society with truth by exhibiting impeccable integrity and be mission minded.
He encouraged all churches to observe the first Tuesday of every month as a day dedicated for prayer and fasting and admonished members not to ensure that the chain prayer and fasting is sustained.
Speaking on mission and mission support, the ECWA President reiterated that the church was created by missionaries for missions hence the department remains the flagship of ECWA and called on members to make the EMS department their number one priority.
He disclosed that the department is currently indebted and appealed to all who had pledged to contribute towards clearing the debts to hasten up in order to get the department out of it.
On efforts in spreading the gospel to the core north, Dr. Panya, expressed gratitude to God for the successful hosting of the core North summit and announced that an implementation committee had already been put in place.
The ECWA President opined that with the ongoing renewed revival in ECWA, a lot would be witnessed in terms of establishment of more mission stations and churches in the core North as according to him, more mission partners have since indicated interest to collaborate with the church to take God’s word to the unreached.
He also spoke on current efforts by the church to spread further into all parts of the South West emphasizing the need for all DCCs in the region to join hands together for the success of this mission.
