Nasarawa State will remain indebted to ECWA for contributing to the development and growth of its education and healthcare delivery, among others.
This was the assertion of the Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, at the venue of the ongoing ECWA Women Fellowship International conference in Karu, Nasarawa State.
According to the governor, the church’s holistic ministry has had a great impact on the lives of citizens in the state.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the governor stressed the need for the church to continue to support government programs at all times, addin that ECWA women had proved to be spiritually different and urged others to emulate them.
Dr. Akabe expressed optimistic that the church’s proposed textile industry would be realized and disclosed that Nasarawa State Government would do everything possible to support the mission as it would go a long way in addressing the problem of unemployment.
He urged the church to intensify its efforts towards ensuring that the world is reached with the undiluted gospel of Jesus Christ and praised the women’s leadership for sponsoring women fellowships from Malawi, Kenya, Niger and the Chad republic as it would go a long way in encouraging their fellowships.
ECWA President, Rev. Dr. Stephen Baba Panya, thanked the Nasarawa State Government for gracing the conference and urged the government to fulfill its campaign promises to the people so that God would bless the state and the leaders.
The deputy governor was accompanied to the conference by the Commissioner of Information, Hon. Dogo Shamma, senior special assistants, permanent secretaries and the Executive Chairman, Karu LGA and his council members.
